A guide to prices

Prices vary according to cost of materials, your requirements and how complex the item is to mount and frame. Once we have established the type of mount board, single, double, triple etc., frame moulding type and quantity it will be much easier to give a clearer indication of price. Quality of materials will also have a bearing on cost. It is possible to buy cheaper standards of all items if that is what you prefer but the overall results and longevity of the article will be compromised.

My preference is to use good quality materials from reputable dealers to ensure a lasting and pleasing result. These options can be discussed when I meet you. Preferably I like to see the picture and discuss your requirements with you to ensure that I understand exactly what you require and you are satisfied that I am the person to do undertake this task for you. Sometimes customers prefer me to advise them regarding colours, size of mount or frame but on completion you must be satisfied.

Stretching fabrics and needlework art may cost more as this is a time consuming technique to get the best from your picture. Conservation items tend to be more costly because of the specialised materials and techniques used to ensure that the item is saved in its best condition for years to come. I will be guided by your wishes.

Please contact me either by telephone or using the contact page with information about the aperture/glass size ie width and height and an idea of mountboard whether single, double, etc (surround the picture), type of moulding if known and I will be able to give you an estimated cost.
